Waxworms are a popular feeder insect for Bearded dragons, Chameleons, and a wide range of Geckos. Waxworms make an excellent supplemental food source for reptiles in general. Their soft, slow-moving bodies wiggle around attracting all types of predators, even birds!
A relatively easy species to care for can be kept in a cool dark area around 55 degrees. We recommend keeping waxworms in the refrigerator door, which tend to be slightly warmer than the shelves, keeping them higher is better since cold air sinks. You don’t need to feed the waxworms before they are fed to your animals. They arrive healthy and thick.
